We will spend 3 hours walking around the streets of Valletta with a local tour-guide explaining the left-hand Maltese story in a fun and interesting way.
Things to do The Complete Valletta Walking Tour
We are the first to introduce the concept of paid tours by joining a group within cities in Malta. On this tour, we will visit the main highlights of Valletta, while also visiting an often ignored but equally fascinating part of the city. The tour starts at the modernised entrance of Valletta, and while walking along the majestic streets of the city, our guide will point out all the main landmarks, while keeping you entertained with fascinating and little-known true stories. What was it like to be a patient at the Holy Infirmary? Or a galley slave on the ships of the Order? Were all Knights behaving in accordance to their vows?

Guide provided clear and well presented information. It would have been beneficial to have the wireless transmitter system that I have had supplied on other walking tours. If I was standing to the side of the group and the guide was speaking toward the other side of the group (totally appropriate to include everyone), I could not hear what was being said. Also, history and other information interesting and there could be more included while walking along. Dialogue limited to stops and there is so much more that could be pointed out. The 15 or 20 minute stop in the middle of the tour was, for me, not necessary.

The guide was very knowledgeable and lovely. However, the tour could have been 1.5 hours. It was not 3 hours of substantive information. We had a 25 minute break to take photos, have a toilet break and get coffee, this was unnecessary. We spent most of it standing around, learning when churches opened, and not walking around.

The guide was excellent with a passion for history and culture and it showed in this wonderful tour. We gained a solid understanding of fairly recent history of Malta and also a glimpse into cultural issues the current residence are grappling with. I highly recommend taking this tour. I don't believe Malta could be adequately covered in a shorter tour as the history is extremely rich and interesting. And this tour covers that history in an entertaining and insightful way.

“The guide tour was amazing but the customer service of this comp”
We booked the experience via Freetour and the day before I tried to change my booking with the provider via chat and email but no one bothered to contact me so I had to cancel my original reservation and rebook. We paid at this point twice the deposit for this tour.
The tour was with Giulia, a young and passionate girl which showed us amazing places. Her passion can make you fall in love with anything she says, amazing!!!! Highly recommended!
At night, Christine from Colour my Travel sent me a WhatsApp message calling me a thief because I didn´t pay the full amount of the tour, mentioning that I was doing fraud. I mentioned to this girl to charge my card as no one paid for the tour to the guide on the same morning and she got even more aggressive by messages. I never experienced something like this before, I clearly mentioned to her to charge my card, the same I used for the booking but at this point, she got so rude I blocked her.
In the morning I received the balance of the tour to pay and by h. 09:00 I paid the full amount.
At h.11:30 another guy from Colour by Travel contacted me by phone still asking for the balance of the tour, again. I clearly mentioned to them about the double charge, the missing customer service, the colleague calling me a thief etc. I left him to "investigate with Christine" and come back to me...guest what? still waiting...no comment

The tour was well organized, informative and interesting. We got a good overview of Valleta's history and landmarks (as much as can be given in 3 hours). There was a 15 minute break in the middle, so it was not exhausting. Our guide was very accessible and knowledgeable, and would spice things up with anecdotes and legends. She was also making sure that she speaks loud and clear, everybody is present (and walking on sidewalks) and dramatized her storytelling at points to bring stories to life. Highly recommended.

I was one of a party of three that took part in a three hour tour of Valletta on 5th March 2019. As far as local knowlege and historical interest were concerned this was the best tour I have been on anywhere. Our guide, Mario, had a very deep and detailed knowledge of Valletta and its history, which he managed to express in a succinct and fascinating way. The tour was just about the right length; it was long enough to cover a great deal but short enough to reatain everybody's interest.
The only criticism I have is that it would have been nice to have a fifteen minute break halfway through for a drink and a sit down.
All in all it was a first class experience. The weather was splendid too, which made it easy to fall in love with Valletta.

I found this a perfectly interesting and useful introduction to Valletta. The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. He knew a great many facts and was obviously passionate about his city.
I did find the tour a little dry however. It lacked the real engagement that comes from stories and human interest. So much potential to tell stories of knights and battles and seiges and bombs falling from the sky and this I feel was missing, and that’s the reason I cannot give 5 stars

“Interesting and informative”
This is a great tour; my friend and I had already visited Valletta using a guide book to get a first idea of the city’s history, but there’s nothing like having a well informed guide to get a real understanding and appreciation of Malta’s role over the past few hundred years. Our guide was super; he offered clear and interesting information and was able to answer all of our questions, not only about Valletta but about Malta in general, on any topic we threw at him. He was a pretty serious guy, so I can’t say he was entertaining, but he did a great job.
My only negative observation was that I found this tour by looking up “free walking tours” but of course there is an up-front official fee. I don’t mind paying €20 (and would have given my usual €20 tip anyway) but it irritated me that they advertise as “free” when clearly it is not. (They do offer a free 45-minute tour twice a week, so I assume that’s what is referred to, but it is misleading nonetheless.) In any case, it’s worth doing the full 3-hour tour; there’s no way to pack in so much history in 45 minutes.

I found the tour to be very informative and educational. We covered a lot of ground in 3 hours. Our guide Mario was wonderful. Loved his sense of humour. Highly recommend the tour.
