Welcome to the City Of Lakes. This walk will give you a complete deep insights experience of the city. This is a perfect way to explore the Udaipur culture and its local life. In this experience, we will see the hidden gems of the old city of Udaipur. We start the walk from the old temple lanes and enjoy the beautiful lake sights and ghats. Knowing about the city in an earlier time we proceed to the old city residential areas. As we walk through, we see some of the remarkable creations in ancient architecture. We see the beautifully designed havelis and paintings from outside, and I will explain how it was used and why it was important in an earlier time. The highlights of the walk are: - Vegetable market visit - Grocery and spice market. - Clay Pot Makers community - Traditional plates and bowl-making using tree leaves - Metal pot and utensil making by hand - Bamboo baskets making process - Traditional Local snacks making process - Masala chai making and tasting - Traditional Wedding market walk Wear comfortable outfits and footwear that could be good for a walk. “don't skip this tour”
Manish is a wonderful host and guide, incredibly knowledgeable and answer any questions you have. He takes you through a locals view (as he's from udaipur) behind the touristic streets of the old town. Complete with insight into the local craftsmanship (clay, steel work, local paintings..), the stone carvings of the jagsish temple and old daipur markets.

“Just incredible and beyond our expectations!”
I have used Freetour.com for a while now but can absolutely say that Manish is the BEST guide I have ever met! We had such a great time with him, he is a truly lovely person and so passionate about his city (gorgeous!). We spent almost 3 hours together which is great and Manish took us through a lot of places and told us so much about Udaipur and India in general, we felt like we learnt so much with him! He's super professional and looks after visitors super well, provided us with refreshments and snacks which we also thought was incredibly nice. “very informative tour with a perfect tour guide”
I participated in the tour in May which is the low season. So I was the only participant on the tour.
The guide, Manish is so kind, knowledgeable, and took great care of me with warmth.
We started at a Hindu temple and walked through local residential areas, markets. And he gave me the information about what to do while in Udaipur and some travel tips.
I highly recommend spending a morning with this tour if you are in Udaipur!!

“Awesome Road Tour”
My freind Carolin was visiting india and udaipur for the first time and her excitement was all justified from the wonderful free tour from Mr. Manish. Top Guy really, he showed us all hidden gems of Udaipur where only locals visit. He showed how Beautiful and diverse india can be.
Being Indian it was amazing to see how he showed things to her.
He came just for the two of us and his enthusiasm was still 100 percent even when we were just two people for that slot.
He also got us some snacks and chai ,it shows there are still people who are genuine in this self centered world.
This guy is really really amazing to go around with, so I would definetly recommend this tour and also be nice to him!

“A great tour”
This tour started at the temple and took us to places not usually discovered by tourists. Manish spoke very good English and explained things clearly. We stopped on the way for snacks and chai which was plentiful. It was lovely to visit the vegetable and vegetable spice markets along with the chance to see pottery being made and woven baskets. Highly recommended.

“Super fun way to explore another side Udaipur!”
Udaipur is a magical city and in this tour Manish takes you outside the touristy center of Udaipur into the beautiful local market area! He showed us various products that local people in Udaipur make such as clay pots and candle holders, eco-friendly plates made of leaves, bamboo baskets and much more! We loved seeing the colorful street markets with all the fruits and veggies and got to taste some delicious chai there. This tour is a great way to see real shops and local markets that are not made for tourists. We loved the tour and Manish was a great, we highly recommend!
