Giovanni is a very nice guy. I'm from Rijeka which is a city about 90 minutes' drive from Trieste and I have been to Trieste so many times during my life. But! I've learnt so much from Giovanni that I have decided to come more often and explore more thoroughly all the places he mentioned on this tour. Lovely sunny day in January. Our guide introduced us to the recent history of Trieste, a twist on the usual accounts of medieval forts and battles that I was expecting. I came away feeling that I had gained an insight into the city and it’s people - from its international merchants in the Freeport to the Jewish ghetto. Timing was just right. A great tour.

We booked the tour during a stormy and rainy day, and despite the weather, the tour ended up exceeding my expectations, all due to our wonderful guide Giovanni. Giovanni was organized, showing us maps and photos from his binder. He has great story telling skills and vast knowledge. He showed us not only historical attractions but also cultural sights. At the end of the tour, he shared with us a PDF of a list of restaurants and places of interest. I have never seen any other guide be so proactive and well-prepared! He's made my stay in Trieste so much better. Highly recommended!

Excellent way to get to know Trieste and learn about its history. The length of the tour is good to keep you interested and Giovanni had many helpful tips, which were very welcome. We arrived in Trieste on the evening previous to the day of the tour and found that it was a great way to get acquainted with the town and perfect to then organise our own sightseeing.

The booking and the instructions for the meeting point are cleary arranged. The tour is with it's 1.5h perfect to stay receptive. The facts at the beginning were a bit fast for us, but the rest of the tour Giovanni was speaking very clear. At the end of the tour there is a suprise. Triest ist unglaublich vielfältig. Genauso waren Giovannis Informationen und die Wegführung. Die kleinen Plätze, hübschen Viertel und engen Gassen wären uns ohne seine Walking Tour entgangen.
Der Abschied am Weinausschank ist eine nette Idee. Ein letzter Smalltalk vor dem Verlassen der Gruppe macht das inhaltsreiche Erlebnis rund.
