Discover the charm of Trancoso on this immersive walking tour through its stories, legends and most emblematic corners.
The tour starts at the Trancoso Tourist Office and continues through the magnificent historic center, stopping at the Chapel of São Bartolomeu.
We continue past the statues of King Dinis and Queen Santa Isabel, crossing the ancient Portas d'El Rei, one of the most iconic entrances to the wall.
Along the way, we explore the figure of the remarkable Bandarra and the impact of his prophecies, passing by his statue and the Casa do Bandarra, and we visit the Isaac Cardoso Center for Jewish Culture, essential for understanding the town's Jewish heritage.
We then head to the Poço do Mestre and the Casa do Gato Preto, places steeped in local history, as well as the Igreja de São Pedro and the Pelourinho, symbols of social and political life over the centuries.
