“Excellent Experience”
It was a cold, drizzly morn in February. Two other tourists failed to show up so I was the only hearty soul to take the tour. Andreas, the guide, was most pleasant and we rambled through the old town while he shared the stories his grandfather used to tell him when he was a kid in his beloved Heimat. His knowledge of history and even some trivia points was impressive. Two hours well spent.

Tom gave an insightful and entertaining walking tour of the old town. His local knowledge was impressive. The content was appropriate for all as was the flow of the tour, the 2.5 hour walk flew by very quickly. Would recommend to anyone visiting Nurenberg and wanting to get a sense of the history and their sense of direction in the old town. It was super easy to book the tour the day before.

really well paced tour of the old town and castle. not a huge amount about the 3rd Reich to be fair but what was said was well explained and to the point
you could hear Andreas clearly and he managed us all well despite the large group size

He is experienced, knowledgeable, friendly, inclusive of everyone in our group, and made our tour both informative and entertaining, even on a cold cloudy rainy day. Dies war unsere zweite Free Walking Tour und wir haben damit erneut voll ins Schwarze getroffen. Unser Guide Tom war mit seinem Wissen, seinem Humor und seinen Insider-Tipps eine absolute Bereicherung für unseren Wochenend-Trip nach Nürnberg. Die Tour war sehr interessant, unterhaltsam und kurzweilig, gern hätten wir Tom noch viel länger zugehört. Als weitgereister Einheimischer waren seine Ausführungen gleichermaßen authentisch wie durch die Brille eines Cosmopoliten. Sehr eindrücklich spannte er den Bogen vom Mittelalter zum Dritten Reich. Er sorgte immer dafür, dass wir ihn gut hören konnten, suchte ruhigere Ecken für uns, so dass wir uns schnell als Einheit verstanden. Es hat uns sehr großen Spaß gemacht. The rain did not detract from Alexandra’s excellent commentary on the Nuremberg Old City and Third Reich walking tour. We really enjoyed the tour which was a mix of both the old and more recent history of Nuremburg. Alexandra also gave tips on local eating places and other things to see and do.

Alles an der Tour war super, außer die Größe der Gruppe. Für das, dass eigentlich laut Onlineanmeldung nur maximal 25 Personen mitgehen sollten, kamen etwa 45. Keine Ahnung, ob die alle online reserviert hatten, oder einfach so dazugestossen sind. Man konnte dem Guide also keine Fragen stellen, da die Tour sonst aus dem Ruder gelaufen wäre. Kleinere Gruppe hätte mich jetzt mehr gefreut, aber das ist Motzen auf hohem Niveau.

Free walking tour am Samstag um 11.30 Uhr war hervorragend. Das Wetter war zwar sehr kalt aber die Tour so interessant und kurzweilig und man nimmt viel mehr mit als mit dem Bus. Der Tipp stammt von unserer Tochter und ab jetzt machen wir nichts anderes mehr in den Städten, die wir bereisen.
Unser Guide war Andreas und er hatte sehr viel Wissen bereit und erzählte sehr spannend. Großes Lob!

“Very informative tour Nuremberg ”
Thanks to our local guide Andres who was raised in Nuremberg and has some wonderful grandfather growing up stories too we now feel we know more about Nuremberg. He took us all around the city and shared lots of History.
