After Adolf Hitler took power, on March 22, 1933, the first Nazi concentration camp opened its doors in Dachau. Some 200,000 prisoners passed through its barracks over 12 years, of which an estimated 40,000 died.
For this Memorial Dachau Concentration Camp Tour we have guides accredited by the Foundation of the Memorial of the former Dachau concentration camp. From the hand of these professionals, from the rigor and the most absolute respect for the victims, we come into contact with the darkest face of Nazism and the Second World War in Munich.
We will begin our visit at the Central Station (Hauptbahnhof), from where we will arrive at Dachau along the same path that the prisoners of the camp traveled one day. Once at the memorial, we will access the Appellplatz (count square), through the same access tower that was taken by American troops on April 29, 1945, the day of the liberation.
Once inside the museum we will visit the interpretation center and end in the area of the old barracks, including the crematoria or the one known as Barracón X, where a gas chamber was located.
At the end of the Memorial Dachau Concentration Camp Tour we will head back to Munich.
