Things to do Free Tour of Manchester
Welcome to Manchester, the city which birthed the industrial revolution. We'll start walking around St. Peter Square to get to know the history that surrounds this city, the characters that inhabited it and the events that took place there. Do you know what the symbol of the city is? You'll have to go there to discover it! Our Tour is focus on the history of the city, and we will uncover the secrets of what made Manchester and the cultural revival, the importance of music and how Manchester became a pioneer for women suffrage, LGTBQ+ rights and of course football. We will be discovering key buildings like the Free Trade Hall, John Rylands Library or the Royal Exchange while mixing it with new areas like spinning fields. This tour is a unique experience for everyone that wants to know more about Manchester while walking the key buildings of the city. To finish the tour, when we arrive at the Cathedral at 12:45 pm, the guide will give us some recommendations to organize our stay in the city. Tour is NOT accessibly and adults only

Espectacular el free tour de Ivo, nos dio audio auriculares a todos los asistentes que nos permitía escuchar todas las explicaciones que daba aunque nos quedáramos un poco atrasados. Cuando íbamos caminando de un punto a otro nos ponía música o nos daba explicaciones de historia de Manchester. Tour super entretenido y ameno, muy muy recomendable. “Los niños con carrito no son bienvenidos”
El free tour muy bien, sitios muy chulos y se hace muy ameno porque va poniendo música de grupos de Manchester. Pero si algo tenemos que decir, es que íbamos con dos niños, se nos avisó de que había tramos de escaleras y empedrado y aún así aceptamos, pero el mismo dia del tour nos volvió a poner pegas por el carrito e incluso nos dijo que los niños no estaban aceptados y en la solicitud del free tour no había tal restricción, de hecho en el free tour había otros niños.

One of the things I almost always do when I travel to a new city is participate in a walking tour. This is hands-down one of the very best I’ve experienced. A big part of the experience was our fabulous guide Gareth. He ushered us through central Manchester pointing out gem after gem and explaining the history of the City in a way that was engaging and entertaining. I really appreciated his ability to clearly communicate with all members of our group representing five different countries. He shared numerous food and drink recommendations fitting all budgets. I’m a bit smitten with this city and the tour this morning really set things in motion for my stay here. Highly recommend this one.

Gareth was our tour guide - he was knowledgeable and the tour popped along at a good pace. He covered the history of Manchester from many angles, the cotton industry, the music industry, etc. It was very informative and a lovely way to get to know the city. Pretty good tour guide. The only thing I would add is more info or places related to the industrial revolution.
