We will start this free tour of Leipzig in Spanish in front of the impressive train station. From this monument we will go to the old town of the Saxon city.
We will pass through several representative stores and commercial passages, for which the city became famous during the fairs. Next we will arrive at the church of San Nicolás. Will you wonder why a huge column in the shape of a palm tree appears in front of her? We tell you about it, since it symbolizes the very important events for the recent history of Germany.
We will continue the free tour of Leipzig next to the university campus, one of the oldest in the country. We will also stop at the opera and philharmonic building that continue the excellent musical traditions of Bach, Wagner, Mendelssohn or Schumann.
We will pass through the huge New Town Hall area, surprising you with its size and beauty. Then we will head to the Church of Santo Tomás, where we will contemplate the majestic statue of Johann Sebastian Bach – the legendary choir director famous for his compositions of cantatas and passions.
