Discover the rich legacy of famous fairs and renowned musicians such as Johann Sebastian Bach and Richard Wagner with this free walking tour of the historic center of Leipzig.
We will start this free tour of Leipzig in Spanish in front of the impressive train station. To pass through several representative warehouses and commercial passages, for which the city became famous during the fairs. We will continue the free tour of Leipz next to the university campus, one of the oldest in the country. We will also stop at the opera house and philharmonic building that continue the excellent musical traditions of Bach, Wagner or Mendelssohn. Later, go to the church of Santo Tomás, where we will contemplate the majestic statue of Juan Sebastián Bach - the legendary choirmaster famous for his compositions of cantatas and passions. We will then explore Mädlerpassage, where we will admire one of the most famous German taverns, immortalized by the poet Goethe in his masterpiece "Faust". The next stop will take place at the Marktplatz. In this square we will admire the representative Old Town Hall. After two and a half hours of travel, we will conclude the free tour in front of the "Runde Ecke" building. There we will see the communist architecture built by the "sword and shield" of the GDR - the infamous Ministry for State Security.
