Hiking to Alax Pacha Viewpoint & Valle de las Animas

The tour starts in downtown La Paz from where we will be transported in a traditional minibus that will take us to the Uni bridge, where our hike begins. We will ascend about 400 m through a valley to the first ridge where we will take our first break to have a snack and hydrate, it will also be the first glimpse of the Illimani and Mururata mountains without the urban element in between. Then, we will continue walking along the ridge to the Alax Pacha viewpoint, the main place to take pictures of the landscape. Depending on the weather conditions, we can have a snack and rest there, or move to a less exposed site. Then we will begin the descent down the side of the valley to a dirt road that will lead us directly to the Valley of the Souls. From this point to the exit, we will be able to appreciate all kinds of columns and labyrinthine pinnacles that simulate petrified spirits whose shapes contrast beautifully with the sunset light. At the end, we will take the Puma Katari bus back to downtown La Paz.
