We’re Nam, Van, Lisa, and Julia—the owners of Joyful Adventures, a group of young locals who speak English fluently, each holding a Professional Tour Guide Certificate. Having called Hanoi home for over twenty years, we have a deep love for this city and all its hidden gems. Our goal of this tour is to explore the history of the French Quarter from the colonial period alongside the struggle of the Vietnamese people for independence (such as the Government Guest House, the Opera House, and Hoa Lo Prison). To discover the architecture of a miniature Paris in the heart of Hanoi with structures similar to those in Paris (St. Joseph's Cathedral, the Grand Opera House, and the Metropole Hotel). In addition, uncover French influence and unique Indochinese architecture (National Museum of History & University of Pharmacy). Additionally, we will guide you in exploring the history of Vietnam's resistance against the Americans, known as the Vietnam War. We can't wait to show you how interesting Vietnamese history is!
