Sacred Valley of the Incas Tour

We will pick you up from your hotel between 6:25 and 6:45 am to start our tour. THE SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS is located at an altitude of 2790 meters and includes CHINCHEROS, MORAY TERRACES, SALINERAS, URUBAMBA, OLLANTAYTAMBO, and PISAQ. Each one of them has archaeological remains that were built by the different Incas. The Sacred Valley was historically one of the main production points due to the richness of its lands and today is where the best maize grain is produced.

Our first stop will be in CHINCHEROS, which still maintains its traditional textile and ceramic art, where we will visit its colonial church that highlights its most important canvases from the XV and XVII centuries. Then we will visit MORAY, which was a center for agricultural research where experiments were carried out at different heights. Afterwards, we will visit the MARAS SALT MINES, which have more than 3,000 pools of various sizes and dimensions, which belong to local families who, during the dry season, take advantage of the salt generated to treat it with iodine and sell it in the market. Continuing the trip, we will arrive in URUBAMBA, where we will have a buffet lunch, and then we will visit the city of OLLANTAYTAMBO, which dates back to the XV century, and finally we will visit PISAQ, which offers an archaeological site and a handicraft market.
