Discover the Rich Heritage of Catania

The tour starts at the info point in Piazza Duomo, the heart of Catania. After an introduction to the square’s most important historical events and monuments, we continue to the fish market and then to Castello Ursino, the only medieval monument in Catania still in perfect condition, now serving as the city's museum. From the castle, we will walk along Via Crociferi, Catania’s most important Baroque street, before ending the tour at the beautiful Piazza Università. The two main squares we visit are part of the UNESCO Heritage list and showcase the unique Baroque style of Catania. The guide will also share recommendations on where to eat, what to visit in your free time, and more. All monuments will be seen from the outside, except for the Cathedral, which may be visited inside depending on ongoing ceremonies.
