Things to do San Carlos City Tour

This tour of San Carlos Borromeo takes visitors on a journey through its colonial history and cultural traditions. It starts at the Aljibe, an emblematic point of the town's foundations, and continues to the San Carlos Borromeo Church, a reflection of the spirituality and architecture of the time. Then, the tour includes the Municipality, which functioned as a town hall, and Belgrano Street, where the recovas evoke life in colonial times. Along San Martín Street, visit the Casa de la Familia Ten, which housed the caudillo Felipe Varela as a prisoner, and observe the typical architecture of central courtyards. At the San Ana Loom, local artisans show traditional weaving work, which gives way to the Pachamama Museum, dedicated to Mother Earth and the Andean cosmovision. The return along Calle Güemes reveals more about the culture and history of the town. The circuit ends at the intersection with Rivadavia Street, in front of the house of the "false Inca," a legendary character. This tour allows you to experience San Carlos through its rich history, its colonial landscapes and the unique identity of its inhabitants.
