Experience Bangkok´s incredible markets, one of the most popular attractions in the Golden Triangle. Come with us to enjoy the maximun of this marvellous city!
Choose our Bangkok Railway and Floating Market and enjoy the most booked activity by tourists visiting Bangkok. Explore places popular with locals where they go for their daily shopping. Marvel at how the vendors are quick to fold away the thousands of stalls placed on the edge of the railway tracks that are very much active still or sail the waters where you can go to buy and sample traditional Thai products.
In the company of our Spanish speaking guide we´ll set off on one of the most popular trips from Bangkok and explore the famous Mae Klong, a town not far from the capital, where some years ago vendors saw how their venue was being invaded by the construction of railway tracks. Locals came up with a way of staying in the same place by creating a system whereby in just a matter of seconds, they could dismantle their market stalls and shift their belongings aside making way for the train. On certain occasions the train rolls in up to four times a day.
Enjoy the pure essence of a totally different world when you visit this market. Taste the different spices and unusual fruits which are bought by the locals daily who take it away to cook for their families and friends and enjoy soaking up the local Thai atmosphere.
Another of the stops along the way is the popular floating market. You have probably already seen millions of magazines featuring these markets on water. This is the most popular market and a must-see tourist spot. In bygone years, Thailand was inundated by this type of trade given the large number of rivers which made it easier to move around. There are other markets in the city such as the Taling Chan but our trip takes us to the most popular one of all.
For us to be able to get in and between these tiny market stalls we will have to do so on board a traditional Thai boat navigating the Chao Phraya together with other tourists.
Pick our activity and immerse yourself in the most famous and colourful markets in Bangkok´s old Kingdom of Siam. Sign up to our Bangkok Railway and Floating Market.
