Set off to Damnoen Saduak floating market on a day trip from Bangkok with a boat ride and a bike tour along river with breathtaking views over villages and temples.
The experience at Damnoen Saduak begins with a pick-up from your hotel in Bangkok, taking you to Ratchaburi. Thailand's markets offer an authentic glimpse into the traditional culture of a predominantly water-based country. This is why our first destination is the renowned Maeklong rail market. Vendors set up their stalls right on the train tracks, selling a diverse range of goods such as fresh produce, seafood, meats, and clothing. As a train approaches, vendors swiftly clear the tracks until the train has passed, at which point they resume business as usual, creating a lively and bustling atmosphere.
The adventure continues with a scenic long-tail boat journey through intricate canals that wind through local villages and plantations. A visit to a coconut plantation, where traditional methods are used to produce palm and coconut sugar, follows. Following a visit to the floating market, bicycles await to lead us on an exploration along serene country roads and plantation trails.
A delightful Thai lunch awaits us at a riverside restaurant along the Maeklong River. Depending on the season, we may witness the growth of fruits, adding to the beauty of the Mae Klong River surroundings.
