Lent and Holy Week in Antigua Tour

The tour of the towns near Antigua was great. Fun to ride the local transportation, see some nearby towns, and learn about Artisanal chocolate. Carolina was very patient with us. (only two on the tour spoke some spanish .... we signed up for the SPANISH tour). She also was flexible, she had not planned on showing us the town laundry, but we asked about it, and she adjusted. Even with our language challenge, Carolina showed she was knowledgeable about the local culture, and the area in general. There were 10 of us, two who spoke a little spanish. Freetours, and Carolina were clear to us beforehand, that the tour was in spanish, but we wanted to do the tour, and did not have time to wait for the English version. Carolina was a great guide, she was happy, patient, knowledgeable, and fun. And probably even better if you understand ALL the words.

Hice esta gira con Carolina. Tuvimos suerte de ser pocos, lo que le permitió a Caroline hablar con cada uno de nosotros. ¡Esta gira fue fantástica! Carolina, nos dio mucha informaciónes sobre cada pueblo. Tuvimos la suerte de asistir a dos bodas en Santa María de Jesús. Caroline fue mucho más allá de su horario. Lo recomiendo mucho.

Tinha grandes expectativas e queriaa experiência de conhecer o chicken bus. Fui ao ponto de encontro no horário, mas o guia simplesmente não apareceu.

Una inmersión en la cultura y tradiciones guatemaltecas. Fue muy agradable la parada en el museo de doña Carolina, donde descubrimos una pieza muy preciosa de la cultura local. Nuestra guía, Carolina, fue muy profesional, explicándonos las costumbres de esta población.

Our guide Ramiro Rivera was excellent. Very knowledgeable and spoke excellent English. We really enjoyed the trip. Recommend this trip heartily to anyone visiting Antigua. Good to step out of the touristy part and go and see how people live and work. Textile co-ops are excellent

I joined the tour with my husband. There was another family with 2 children and it was a very enjoyable morning. Nelson had so much knowledge and we learned so much about the local market and the villages surrounding Antigua.His English was very good too. We would highly recommend.

One it the best tour‘s I’ve taken! The guide spoke English and had a good understanding of the information he was presenting. He was willing to answer all my questions. It was a well organized trip. I had an opportunity to see the market and the different sections of the market, ride on chicken bus like the locals, and walk through two local villages. I was disappointed that the textile museums were closed. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone. A great introduction to Antigua and Guatemala

It was an amazing experience to take a tour with Nelson. I saw and experienced Antigua and San Pedro in a way that no efforts on my own could have achieved. Nelson is very knowledgable about history, flora and fauna, customs, etc. He has been a tour guide for many years and obviously has honed his skills. His tour heightened my experience and love of this beautiful city. Without hesitation, give his tour a try.
