Things to do Antigua Guatemala: Landscape of Ruins and Volcanoes
Antigua surprises with the strength of its colonial ruins and the imposing presence of the volcanoes that surround it. From the first moment, its streets reveal centuries of history, traces of the passage of time and scenes of daily life that are still active today. During this experience we will get to know different spaces that allow us to understand the past and the daily life of the city. Through streets, squares and old buildings, we will see how colonial history is still present in today's environment. The tour includes some of the most representative points, such as the Arch of Santa Catalina, one of the most recognized symbols of the place and a key point to appreciate the volcanic landscape. We will continue to the San José Cathedral and La Merced Church, whose walls reflect the religious and social importance of the colonial era. We will also visit old convent complexes transformed with the passing of time, where gardens, museums and ruined areas show different stages of the past. Get to know Antigua hand in hand with local people who share historical information and recommendations for further exploration of the city and its gastronomic offerings.

“Very useful tour”
Hi. We are a swiss couple staying 3 weeks in Antigua to learn Spanish. To get to know Antigua better we booked this tour. Hugo our guide was very knowledgeable and kind. He showed us without rush hidden corners of the City and gave us a lot of information about the Spanish colonial time and the Maya.
We also got a lot of tips and hints what to visit during our stay. We can unconditionally recommend this tour with Hugo.

First they canceled our tour 20min before the time and told us it was available next day! On next day nobody showed up, when we tried to communicate with them, they blocked us on WhatsApp! I don’t recommend this people at all! Don’t waste your time

Jorge was great! He was super informative and knowledgeable, even going the extra mile to give us recommendations for coffee shops, restaurants, etc. I loved how he was born and raised in Antigua. The tour was supposed to be 2 hours but he wanted to show us a bit more of his city so those of us that did not have plans stuck around for an extra half an hour. Really great way to see the city on your first day in Antigua!

Estuvimos 3 horas de tour. Si bien, no todo lo que nos mostraron fue relevante la experiencia estuvo bien. Lo único que lo primero que nos dijo el guía es que free tour significa libre de aceptar o rechazar pero no que fuese gratis y que como mínimo había que pagar 100 quetzales por persona lo que no casa con lo que te indica la plataforma.
