We will start this tour of the Jordan River, Madaba and Mount Nebo with the pick-up from your hotel in Amman. We will then head to the Jordan River in a private air-conditioned vehicle. Along the way we'll enjoy views of Jordan's arid landscapes and stop at Bethany, specifically at the Jordan River, the site on the east bank of the river where John the Baptist is believed to have baptized Jesus.

We will take a tour of the riverbanks and the main excavated ruins, learning how the Vatican sanctified the site as the site of the baptism of Jesus and a visit by Pope John Paul II in 2000.

We will then travel to Madaba, known for its exquisite Byzantine mosaics. We will visit the interior of the church of San Jorge with a local guide. This 19th-century Greek Orthodox basilica houses the famous Madaba Mosaic Map, a mosaic floor from the 6th century AD. representing the ancient Holy Land and Jordan.

And finally, we will go to Mount Nebo, we will enjoy the sunset view of the Holy Land and the Jordan Valley, we will visit the mosaics and ancient relics that are inside the Franciscan church.
