We will begin our tour on the Palace square, the square which witnessed almost all of the crucial events in the history of the capital of the Russian Empire. Will try to imagine what life was like in St. Petersburg at the beginning and how it happened to become the most European city in Russia. By the end of the tour, you will know why it took them so long to build St. Isaac's Cathedral, and why St. Petersburg has more in common with Amsterdam than with Venice, and where you can try the best Russian donuts (piroshki).
