Meeting point: Starbucks coffee shop inside Rossio train station. Lisbon. Schedule: Monday to Friday 9:20 am. Saturdays and Sundays 9:40 a.m. Train ride: 45 minutes, where we will tell the story of the main stations such as Campolide (aqueduct), Benfica (La Luz Stadium), Queluz-Belas (Queluz Palace), Reboleira (end of the blue line of the Metro), Portela (connection to Cascais) and the last station, Sintra. Arriving in Sintra, we will walk to the historic center seeing outside the Manueline architecture of the Municipal Palace, the Moorish Castle, the oldest house in Queijadas from 1756. We will walk along Volta del Duche to reach the National Palace. Then we will go to the Cantinho Gourmet to learn about the history of Ginjinha, a typical liquor, drink it in chocolate glasses and taste the Travesseiros and Queijadas desserts. Then we will learn about the history of the romantics who were inspired by Sintra, such as António Augusto Carvalho Monteiro, and walk to finish at the Quinta da Regaleira Palace. (Entrance NOT included €20 per adult) Optional guided tour. Tour not adapted for people with reduced mobility or no vision. Not suitable for animals.
