Things to do Sigiriya & Dambulla Day Tour followed by a Village Tour & Safari

Our first visit would be to the stunning paintings at the Dambulla Cave Complex, which are considered the best-preserved in Sri Lanka and are sure to captivate any visitor. A short, slightly steep climb leads up to the caves, and you will be nestled with the breeze coming. Subsequently, we pay a visit to the spellbinding Sigiriya Lion Rock, which was once the royal kingdom of Sri Lanka. Along the way, highlights include the Sigiriya frescoes, the Mirror Wall with graffiti, and the enormous Lion’s Paws carved into the rock. The whole visit, including the climb and descent, takes roughly 2 hours. We will then head to a traditional village. It begins with a short ride in a bullock cart through the lush green rice fields, followed by a catamaran ride in a village tank, and concludes with a tasting of an authentic Sri Lankan lunch. An optional jeep safari is available at either the Eco Park, Kaudulla National Park, or Minneriya National Park, depending on the seasonal movements of the elephants. Meanwhile, non-safari guests may enjoy leisure time visiting batik and handicraft shops or indulging in an Ayurvedic massage.
