Mönchsberg Free Tour

Did you know that Salzburg has a natural oasis with history, grazing cows and the best photo spot in the middle of the old town? Come with us to the Mönchsberg! In the middle of hot days, the people of Salzburg like to escape to the cool surroundings of one of their city mountains (actually a higher hill ;-)). We start our tour via the Toscaninihof and discover not only the picturesque Mönchsberg district, but also historical sites, castles of Nobel Prize winners in literature, places where wine is grown, which is actually atypical for the region, as well as what I think is the best place for a Salzburg souvenir photo (you won't be disappointed). Cows don't graze in cities? You thought wrong! With a bit of luck, we'll not only spot some friendly cloven-hoofed animals, but also, in good weather, some well-frequented meadows that invite you to linger. Finally, we pass one of the most expensive hotels in the city and walk through old gates to the beautiful baroque church of Mülln. If we wish, we can toast the walk in the popular Augustiner Bräu brewery next door (which is the envy of the Viennese) (not included).
