Things to do Rotterdam's Must-Visit Spots Free Tour
During the tour, I’ll take you on a journey through history, showing what Rotterdam looked like before the bombardment in 1940 — and what has remained standing since that tragic event. The city center is very walkable, so we can easily explore many of the main highlights like Cube Houses, Markhtal and many more on foot. If you’d like to discover even more, I’d be happy to share my personal recommendations with you afterward! Rotterdam is known as the architectural capital of the Netherlands, and it's the most modern city in the country, so along the way, I’ll also share stories behind some of its iconic buildings. I’ll also include plenty of interesting facts and personal insights from my experience of living here for several years. See you soon!

What better way to explore a local area. I've been in Rotterdam for 5 days and the tour helped us to put everything into perspective. It helped us navigate and find places that we hadn't yet found and to hear the historical stories that provide the all important context. Amazing! The only thing is that we'd like to tip the guide using our bank card or Google pay or even PayPal. Cash simply isn't relevant anymore in the Netherlands. We simply don't carry it. Please find a way to do this.

The tour takes you to the important sights and conveys some local knowledge as well as food recommendations and fun facts. Unfortunately the historical facts came a bit short. I left the tour with more knowledge on Rotterdam of today but were not much wiser regarding the city's history. Nevertheless I would recommend the tour.

Lena was an absolutely fantastic guide. She gave us an overview of her tour at the beginning and asked everyone if they were busy. She adjusted the end time accordingly. Lena was funny, involved her participants, and always made sure everyone was comfortable. At the end, some participants asked her to take photos, which she was very happy to do. However, when people who weren't on our tour asked her to, Lena politely but firmly explained that she was happy to do it for her tour participants. Other people would like to include third parties, please. A big hat tip for that! ????????????
