Things to do Ancient Rome Free Walking Tour

With a licensed and professional guide, you will visit the vast archaeological areas of the Roman and Imperial Fora, along with one of the largest theaters built in Ancient Rome. During the centuries when Rome was Caput Mundi (capital of the world), the forum was the Roman Empire’s political, social, and commercial heart. Senators, slaves, and commoners alike crossed paths in this bustling city center, visiting the district’s courthouses, temples, government offices, and shops. The first site dates to around 600 B.C. but was later expanded by Julius Caesar, Augustus Caesar, Domitian, and Trajan. You will admire these landmarks once again from the breathtaking terrace of Capitol Hill. We will then proceed toward the most internationally recognized symbol of Ancient Rome, the Colosseum. Due to the nature of this tour (duration: 2 hours and 30 minutes), its route, and safety reasons, it is NOT SUITABLE for children under 10 years of age, and the USE OF A STROLLER IS NOT POSSIBLE. Pets and animals of any size are not allowed. Groups of seven or more people (including families or friends who know each other) cannot join the tour unless they book a private tour.
