On our Guided Tour of the Gestapo Headquarters in Prague we will meet outside the National Museum at 2:30 p.m. Ready to discover one of the places most feared by the Czechs in the past? We will walk to the Palace of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, former headquarters of the Gestapo in Prague.
We will access the basement of this place, used during the six years of Nazi occupation by the Gestapo. We will take the same route as those detained, interrogated and tortured by the S.S. in the Czech Republic: the waiting room, the interrogation room, the isolation cells and even the torture rooms. It will give you goosebumps!
During the visit, we will learn about the most important moments of the Second World War, necessary to analyze the background of the crimes committed in the times of the Gestapo in the Czech capital. Who orchestrated them? Who were the executioners?
In addition, we will understand the reasons that have led the Czechs to keep the seat. Why go back and preserve the dark memories of the past? Remember that “those who cannot remember the past are doomed to repeat it”.
Finally, we will visit the crypt of the church of Saint Cyril and Saint Methodius, a place chosen by the soldiers who attacked the butcher of Prague, Reinhard Heydrich.
The guided tour will end at 4:30 p.m.
