“Chaotic Colorful Old Delhi made easy by an excellent”

Fantastic guide! Jai is so knowledgeable, and he brings Old Delhi to life. If you are new to India, then you NEED a guide in Old Delhi, and Jai is excellent. Couldn’t recommend it more. I am an experienced traveller, but without Jai’s guidance, I would have struggled to see the real Old Delhi. He came even when I was the only one in the walk, for honouring his personalised and great service, I tipped him EUR 25 at the end, and every single buck is worth your money. Jai even helped me to find my way back to my hotel by helping me to hire a tuk-tuk ride. What a pleasant personality he is!

“A fantastic tour having both the main tourist sites and the back”

This was a fantastic tour. Jai was knowledgeable, helpful, and kind. He took me to some main tourist sites, but on backstreets and routes I would not have known otherwise. I got to try two "Chai" tea, one on the outskirts of Chandni Chowk and one in the spice market. He even helped me buy a "Garam Masala"! I was the only one booked in the slot, so I messaged him to see if he could come only for me. Jai assured me that he reports for a solo walker too, and he came and sought only a tip of $10. Friendly for solo travellers, as well as couples and families, for his exclusive and private services, I tipped him at the end $20. 1000% recommend this tour

“Entertaining and eye-opening!”

This Old Delhi Walk was the perfect fit with our schedule, given the small amount of time we had in Delhi. We met at our guide Jai Singh at the Jama masjid Metro station where we then headed into the Old Delhi neighborhoods and its bazaars. It is a mindboggling, eye-opening experience to see how the chaos of old Delhi functions. It shouldn't, especially when you see the electricity wirings above you, but it does...somehow. There is a strong energy and vibes that are unrivaled and it is fascinating. Unlike bazaar in North Africa and South East Asia. One thing i noticed that you are surprisingly not hassled that much to go in peoples shops which was surprising, they have plenty of fair deals getting cracked every minute because of the trust they have built up over last 400 years!. We went to an old street filled with heritage properties and met the place of a goldsmith artisan whose family used to create customized ornaments for the erstwhile royal Mughal nobility. Jai Singh also took us inside an old Hindu temple and quickly gave us an overview of the Hinduism and its belief systems which for me was the highlight. We were not asked for any dress codes or asked to cover our head etc by the priest which i found so touching and we felt so comfortable and being welcoming. Best fun part was joining a group of local ladies who had assembled inside the temple and were loudly singing devotional songs , while the other were playing classical instruments and even dancing few steps too! The guide told me that this is the way ladies of old Delhi have their gentle kitty parties! We then headed to the Asia's spice market by a cycle rickshaw where you fully get to experience the hair-raising traffic and "give way"/horn blowing system. We then tasted a delicious "Masala chai" which really had the masala (blend) of special Indian herbs like cardamom, dried ginger etc. Jai Singh was great and informative without being repetitive, he tendered just the right amount of information and answered our questions expertly when asked. Definitely it was a great tour and excellent value compared to others and I would recommend. He has got a morning and an afternoon schedule too so you are able to fit it into your schedule. Best value and best experience guaranteed.

“Insightful, engaging and delightful free walking tour in delhi!”

While researching free walking tours in Delhi, I stumbled upon Jai Singh's specialised authentic tour for Old Delhi. We actually wanted an easy yet authentic tour without getting tired, and we were lucky to have "Jai Singh" as our host. After the booking, Jai Singh promptly sent clear venue details with locations' pin and duration etc. We actually did "free walking tours" in many parts of the world, but Jai Singh's tour is of real worth and much better than the prepaid costly tours shown over net by many big tour companies. We met at sharp 09am and he was very pleasant from the get go. Bagfull of fascinating stories and valuable historical information. We were Swiss and the heat and Sunny day was overwhelming for us, but Jai Singh smartly took the narrow historic lanes with no sun inside and he perfectly managed to get both of us into the tour. We were lucky that it was just the both of us so we took our time. Since it ultimately turned out to be a private tour, we gladly tipped him USD 20 per person, although Jai is usually happy with USD 10 per person only, but it was a great journey and a memorable day in Delhi, so we tipped him more. We highly recommend Jai Singh's insightful and engaging tour.

Jai was a fabulous walking companion... loaded with a lot of information, wisdom, meticulous answers to questions. Walking and using public transport to commute to the venue was an excellent way to get around and join the tour. “Wonderful walk with Jai”

Jai was a great guide and gave us an unforgettable experience on this walk. He took us to places that you’d never go or see as a tourist, in particular the labyrinths were so beautiful and interesting to see. The part of the spice market he took us to was incredible, we got to see how people live and work around the spice market. And also the other market areas were really interesting to see. We really got a sense of how some people in Delhi live in this area. Jai was very knowledgeable, friendly and was really helpful. Suggesting restaurants for us to try. “It was realy about feeling India”

This walking tour was realy realy good! The best we experienced! We are from Portugal and arrived at new delhi on the beginning of the day and while travelling for the hotel we scheduled this tour for the same day. The reviews were good but we were not expecting so much things to see and to learn on a walking tour. Being a local, he explained us how it is leaving there, how the people work and what they do, how they live the religion and a small overview on some religions... He had show us a hand made jowelry store with people working there that explained us how they do the braceletes and other pieces. He also were with us on the market showing us ápices to buy and being to home. He even gave us a tipical street food to try ... Only One of us tried and he get sick ???? so my advice will be to not try it, our body is not prepared and being sick on the first day of the trip is bot something that we want! At the end of the day he helped us to go to the right place to request an Uber so ir was realy helpfull.

Can't thank "Jai Singh" enough for the magical moments spent with him in our Old Delhi heritage walk and exploring heritage through the old town. Right from the start of the walk he made us feel like he was a good pal of ours. He had lived along with his family in Old Delhi for generations. Since he is a local himself, he showed us some of the hidden neighborhoods packed with heritage bungalows known as "Havelis" & introduced us to locals like traders, cobblers, goldsmiths and even Chai tea sellers. He ended the tour by inviting us for a tea in the middle of enormous Spice depots of the world's largest Spice market. We sipped Masala Chai along with him and other traders of the vicinity . Jai was an incredible guide. Leading us all around the old city, through the spice market, in the mosque right when it opened (so it wasnt crowded) and even to another incredible monument. He showed us the labyrinth of the old city whilst sharing it's history, providing suggestions and just being overall lovely & chill. 10/10 recommend. He even said that he kept us as a small group of 4 (and asked the other 4 people who'd signed up to come in the afternoon) to facilitate navigating the narrow streets.

We had a really great tour with Jai! We have been in temples, the spice market and some really nice non touristic places. He really knows a lot about this city and show you delhi from a really I interesting perspective :)

“Great tour”

I really enjoyed the tour. It was perfect mix between facts about Old Delhi and fun. Jai was really funny and well-informed about Old Delhi. Highly recommend the tour. I felt very secure. Jai was flexible in terms of the program and could respond sufficiently to my questions.

“Free tour 27/10/2023 Delhi”

We decided to take a free tour in Delhi and it has been one of the best decision we have done. The guide was completely nice, he was making jokes and thanks to him, we could discover streets, corners and places that without him we wouldn't have never gone. He was opened to help everytime and he was taking care of us the whole time too. It has been a really pleasure!

“Old Delhi tour with Dutch & Swiss guys”

Allthough i was 30 min late, Jai Singh picked me up from the Qube station. He was very kind and helpful. The tour was even great especially to see all old small streets in Delhi. The spice market was a real bonus and experience too! We had a nice walk with good company and went even for some local Indian food in the end. Just book this guide because he is well experienced and loves to speak! Thanks Jai. Up to next time!

“Expeience Old town in geat detail and with as lot of fun”

A fun experience and delicious tour too because of the local food options. tour, got to see real old Delhi and visited amazing surrounding mosque and Hindu temples. Always felt super safe and grasped the city and it’s culture. Jai was amazing and was very kind and made us feel welcome and secure. he is always recommended in Old Delhi
