“Excellent from start to finish”
This tour was so engaging. Our guide, David, was a masterful storyteller and teacher, while showing us the downtown area. If we had just walked around without any of his insights, I would have missed a lot of the history and context around me. Additionally he was so personable to everyone on the tour. I’ve done a bunch of walking tours and because of David’s energy and ability to engage, this was one of of not the best.

We went on the real city tours downtown Medellín tour and our guide Julio did not disappoint. He has spent time teaching and you can tell as he was really engaging and entertaining. Seeing the downtown area and getting the background of the area was a great way to see it. He made everyone feel so welcome and he was genuinely interested in learning from everyone in the group as well.

I will try to be as informative as possible. This trip was everything I could have hoped for and more. We did this tour with DiOmer, and it was incredibly interesting and highly educational. We learned so much, and the way the content was delivered was so engaging. It was truly a great experience.
DiOmer is an excellent storyteller, and he made the whole tour feel very personal. We visited many different places and gained a deep understanding of the city’s history. I genuinely think this might have been the best city tour I have ever done.
Thank you so much, DiOmer, and thanks to the organization as well. We had such a great time. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Medellín - it’s definitely a must-do.

“Amazing tour guide”
We had German as our tour guide, and he was not only full of wisdom and knowledge about his town but also very entertaining and interactive with the whole group. He made everyone feel included and connected the group very well. The three hours went bye way too quick. Would definitely recommend this tour ????

The only thing we were not that impressed was with the organization/content of the tour! For a 3h tour we were expecting more content and more stops. We fell like for the content we were presented to the tour shouldnt took longer then 2h! We felt like we had a lot of pause moments and the rythm was very slow.

“Informative and thoughtful tour”
Hernan goes beyond the normal fare of walking tours - history, geography, safety etc. Not that he doesn’t do those things well, he does them exceptionally well. But I think he excels at bringing across the feelings and sentiments of the city, both historically and today. Not sappy at all, but definitely poignant. The tale of Colombia’s and particularly Medellin’s transformation from a turbulent, violent and dangerous place to today’s certainly improved and definitely hopeful, but imperfect place comes across with both facts and deep feelings. Perhaps his personal history of education, teaching and world travel informs his perspective, but in any event, he captures and portrays the attitudes, feelings, and resolve of the Colombian and Paisa People.

Diomer was our guide and he did very well.
He explained about the development of Medellin since the late 17th century till now. But he mainly talked about the past +/- 35 years in which the city was like a war zone.
The stories he told were shocking but very interesting and informative. Good to hear about the impact the drug cartels had in the past few decades on daily live.

I understand that it's good to leave tip but I didn't like that this was told 3 times. 1st in booking confirmation then in the beginning of the tour before we have even seen what guide (Milo) can give us and in the end how much you should leave tip. Tour was long but we used time for un useful things like repeating everyones names and countries (21 people) guide was telling information but random stuff and random order it was messy to listen. Places we visited half was boring and we couldn't go some because there was maraton race. Unfortunately: If I would have know how tour would be I would have skipped this my apologies but I can't recommend

El tour lo realicé en inglés con Dio y fue muy interesante. Me gustó mucho lo crítico que fue explicando la historia de Medellín y su contexto. La única cosa que no me gustó fue donde acaba el tour. La plaza es un lugar no muy seguro por las personas que lo habitan. Y no es un lugar muy adecuado para esperar un taxi. Recomendaría acabarlo en un lugar más céntrico para facilitar la movilidad de las personas que lo realizamos de una manera más segura.

I was very happy to find I was not pushed into gift shops and money traps as it was truly a real city tour. Hernan was a fantastic guide. He was very knowledgeable and created a very powerful nartative throughout the course of the tour and we were fully engaged throughout. We walked around a large part of the downtown area and Hernan allowed us to feel safe and advised us on areas to avoid after dark.
We had a break halfway through for a toilet stop and to buy a drink.
This was the first thing we did in Medellin and I would highly recommend to anyone else coming to Medellin.

We had an excellent tour with Carolina. The instructions for the meeting point were very clear ( take the metro ! ) , the two guides waiting for us where organized and tour started on time. We had Carolina, who speaks excellent English, was very attentive , very friendly and knowledgeable. We did stops in different areas in the centre and she gave lots of info about each place / building / area and its history. Make sure you ask her lots of questions, she is very good at explaining everything and giving tips ( about good restaurants , dancing clubs, safety , history etc ). She was so nice and took us back to the nearest metro station and even told us how to get to our destination. We learned a lot in a very short period of time. I would have liked a little more free time in each location , but the tour did its job at giving us an idea about every place that we visited . Others may have different opinion about the time though . Thank you Carolina !

Dio hat hat unsere Gruppe sehr anschaulich, interessant, unheimlich engagiert und vor allem auch nicht langweilig von der Vergangenheit, den Problemen und der Gewalt bis hin zur Transformation von Medellin ins jetzt erzählt und und uns die wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten der Innenstadt gezeigt. Ich habe schon viele free Walking Touren gemacht, aber so interessant wie von Dio vermittelt, war bislang keine oder kaum eine.

This tour is the best we could’ve asked for. It was energetic, full of history, facts and fun while seeing the amazing downtown of Medellín. Juli was such an amazing guide!! This tour goes directly to our Top 3 and we’ve done a lot of walking tours.

“Amazing Tour in Medellin ”
One of the best walking tour i did in South America. Our guide German was very very good. We learned a few lot about history and the culture of Medellin. German was funny and very interesting.
A must to discover the culture and know more about Colombia :)

“Amazing tour and guide”
The tour was a real spectacle. Dio is a great guide and gave us a magnificent view of the city of Medellin, which is spectacular. In the final he gave us amazing tips of bars and restaurants.

Juan was such a lovely guide. He is a storyteller with lots of personal experiences that will bring history to life. The way he organised large amounts of information and delivered the tour in a well rounded way makes him an expert tour guide. I would highly recommend a tour with him.

If you have only a few hours to spend in Medellin, spend them on this tour. You will experience the past, the present and the future of this special city, narrated by a passionate guide.
Our guide goes by the name of Dio, or at least kind of. His powerful stories about the city were welcomed by a laugh or a tear. Dio can rest assured that I’ll be telling his stories to my friends when having a beer.
