Things to do Jack the Ripper Free Tour
In 1888, under the cover of darkness, Jack the Ripper murdered five innocent women and escaped justice During this tour we will visit locations key to the story, where the women lived, where the killer was sighted, and even some of the crime scenes, as we try to answer once and for all, who was Jack the Ripper? Although we will most likely never know, we will introduce you to a few of the main suspects. But this tour is not simply an account of violent murder. We aim to explain just how the killer got away. What was this world truly like? Who were the Ripper's victims? Their stories are just as important, and are the focus of our tour, as we aim to reclaim this story for them.

“Wonderful tour and guide”
Bobby our tour guide told the story of London in the Victorian time and those of the victims of Jack the ripper with humor and compassion, as appropriate, and in a theatrical way. Educational, interesting, well organized. We were 2 adults and 3 kids ages 12-18. Clinical descriptions of the state of the victims was difficult to listen to, but it is not the focus of this tpur and Bobby was sensitive to the crowd.

Probably one of the best walking tours I've had. Our guide, Ben, was super knowledgeable, had great manners, humor and delivery, so he managed to captivate everyone. The tour was very insightful as it provided information not only on Jack, but the life during the Victorian era. Totally recommend it.

Colin is a brilliant story teller who new all the facts and circumstances around the Jack the Ripper story. What was really thoughtful was that the whole time he spoke from the perspective of the women - we learnt so much about their lives outside of their killings. Really informative and 'enjoyable'!

“Dramatically objective”
Coling was agreat interpret. He was very articulate, put the emphasis on the right points and tried to remain objective. He presented the story via victims and try to picture the atmosphere of that particular time. Time has just flown by.
We've learned some interesting things, like City of London has it's own rules, regulations and sign. Quite British from outern point of view. ????
And also that getting "menless" could get you in trouble back then.
Well ... all in all nice, worth our time, not to add hus diction was perfectly distinctive, which is a huge plus for us non-native speaker.

The Jack the Ripper tour was our favorite moment of our weekend in London. The tour was not over-dramatized and our tour guide told us about the lives of 5 women and their deaths taking us to keypoint locations.
I appreciated that this tour did not glorify in anyway the murders. Highly recommend it to anyone who’s interested in historically accurate information.

Should you go on this tour? The short answer is “100% YES”
The long answer is:
Bobby was our guide for the evening. With his knowledge, sense of humour, and passion for the victims to be remembered throughout the tour, he captivated the group from start to finish.
The fresh perspective of the background to the infamous crimes was thought provoking, breaking away from what the media has led us to believe and just taken as fact.
Whilst it’s not a secret that the crimes bring tourism to the area, the clue is in the title of the tour after all, and Bobby does tell of the gruesome facts, I came away feeling as though I’d paid more respect to the victims rather than glorifying JR.
Bobby takes you to the locations whilst explaining the history of the victims and the scenes that were found in the aftermath of the attacks. Very interesting and informative tour.
I 100% recommend.

“Lovely creepy tour”
We went on the jack the ripper tour with Ben. It was during the evening hours and as it got dark, the mood got slightly spooky. It was very informative and Ben told it in a very fun way. We could understand him very well. It was a great time, can only recommend it.

“A story told from a new perspective ”
Our guide was very well prepared so we were able to match historical locations with the new city scenes. There was also extra information provided for future discoveries. The cruel and gore was just right. The delivery of the facts , stories and detective like reasoning was highly enjoyable!

“Fantastic tour, very engaging guide”
We had the tour with Jamie on Thurs evening 8th August.
There was a large group (over 30) but Jamie was very engaging and held the group's interest throughout the 2 hours.
We really enjoyed the content and delivery of the tour and the perspective of Jamie's story. We found it refreshing that the story was from the women's point of view with a smaller emphasis on the Ripper himself.

“Honoring The Five, a very good tour”
I titled the review Honoring The Five because I loved the perspective that Jamie gave to this tour. Honoring the lost lives of this 5 women, victims of it society and finally Jack the Ripper. I found it respectful and informative. You could tell that they have done the research and we learned a lot of the history and story of the murder, and also the victims.
Of course if you go to a tour about a killer you will get some details (I just say this because there was a family and I don't really think is kid friendly), but it was delivered respectfully and accompanied with perspective.

“The other side of Jack”
Jamie was a great guide. He obviously knows his thing and is quite happy with his job.
This was an unexpected surprise. A mature and compassionate story about five women more than the gory, the blood and the morbid of the serial killer.
But this is precisely something you must be aware about. Most of the locations of the white chapel mirders are gone or transformed beyond recognition. You will need a lot of imagination to see the scum and shadiness of the area in a square full of tall buildings. I loved it, this was what I want and finding it casually was nice. But if you’re expecting a thriller this is not. And Jaime and his company are most proud of it.
(I’m putting five stars to the “usefulness” question in order no to affect the whole grading, but I don’t know how could be “useful” a tour about this topic)

“Knowledgeable, funny guide with an ethical approach to storytell”
This was a wonderful tour. To start, I was running late to the tour, as it was my first night in London. I had gotten lost on the way. The tour company (not the guide) messaged me on WhatsApp to confirm that I was coming, and when I told them I was running late, they reached out to the guide and they waited to start the tour for an additional 5 minutes for me. Despite this kind act, I was still too late to meet the group at the meeting point. The company continued to communicate with me until I found the group at the third stop. I cannot describe how out-of-the-way helpful they were. When I got to the group, I spoke with the guide on the way to the next stop to check in. Jamie was extremely knowledgeable, not just about Jack the Ripper and the tour content, but about London in general. The tour is centered around the women that the violence was committed against; Jamie took extra steps to give content/trigger warnings when he was going to describe something particularly gruesome, although the center of the tour and the content discussed was not about much of the acts of violence themselves. I am an avid true crime consumer, and telling ethical true crime stories in which victims and their lives before the violence is the center of the story, is a far more difficult thing to do than just recounting bloody details. It takes knowledge, tact, empathy, and compassion to tell these stories in the right way, and Jamie certainly had that. If you are looking for an entertaining, historical look at the victims of the Jack the Ripper slayings, with background about how the myths and legends came to be, this is the tour for you.

Although some parts are dark and morbid, our guide was well educated, prepared and informative.
