Description

Immerse yourself in the grand old city of London and discover London´s major monuments on our City of London Free Walking Tour: South Zone, the best way of visiting the most popular landmarks in the city as we walk through cobblestone medieval alleys.

Discover the essentials of this area of London, where we can find some of the most significant monuments of the English capital. Enjoy with our guide in English a tour of the Millenium Bridge, one of the most important millennium bridges that runs along the River Thames and was part of great movies, such as the Harry Potter saga.

Another of our stops will be the Globe Theater. The Shakespeare's Globe Theater. This theater was built by the company of this world-renowned artist. The original theater was devastated by a fire, later another was raised on the remains of its predecessor, but it was not until 1997 when the most modern opened its doors

We will discover enticing aromas in Borough Market and then continue to explore the old Anglican Cathedral in Southwark before stopping off at the old Clink prison, one of the oldest prisons in the city.

We will be surprised by the contrasts the city holds, the modern skyscraper The Shard located right next to London´s oldest station, London Bridge. We will also gaze in amazement at the rather peculiar shaped building which serves as London´s Town Hall, City Hall and then head to HMS Belfast the museum ship, a destroyer that took part in World War II.

We will finally reach the world´s best known bridge, Tower Bridge. This City of London Free Walking Tour: South Zone ends with the views of the Tower of London  from the City Hall where our English speaking guide will give away some interesting facts and information about the medieval fortress, the Beefeaters, its famous guards and the priceless Crown Jewels.
