Things to do Free Tour of Liège
Not only will you discover the stories of the city, but you will also learn about the names that are given by the Liégeois to the local monuments, wander in the hidden impasses in the old Liège and experience a walk inside a palace. The tour was (apparently unexpecetedly) big due to the light festival the same day and therefore a lot of tourists visiting the city, but the guide did a great job with her tour and we learned a lot of interesting things we would have missed otherwise.

Fascinating tour of Liège with Elena. She had so much knowledge and fun facts about the city's history. We we're taken to places which would have possibly been missed had we not done the tour. At the advice of Elena we also stayed for Nocturne des Côteaux which was great to experience.

We had a great tour of Liege, learning about its history, hearing fun facts and discovering hidden gems. It was a very helpful start of our weekend trip, which made us feel quickly at home in the city.
All thanks to our tour guide Diane, who created a warm group atmosphere (happy birthday, Morgan!), with humor and in very good English, while being very mindful of our comfort.

We did many free walking tours in Europe and can say that Gilles is probably one of the top league free tour guides. Contents are well selected. He kept the audience engaged. Places that he showed were not all popular tourist attractions, also many hidden gems of locals. Besides that, also provided lots of local tips on food and entertainments. Excellent tour with Diane! 2 hours well spent. She is super knowledgeable, very friendly (and good English, Dutch and French speaker) and kept us moving through the St. Albert's Square area of town. Highlights include a hidden alley under some building that popped out in a serene courtyard, great view behind the palace and a defunct art museum with a neat stairway. She also told us some secrets about a few public artworks most locals don't know.

“Liege with Vic”
Vic was our guide and she made it very clear from the start that more than a historical tour, it is to get to know the city and the vibe of the city better. Which as great because according to me, the most special thing about Liege is the spirit of its' people, the Liegeois, who are friendly, open, love to party and are super approachable! We discussed many things, found some hidden gems that we would not have seen without Vic and the tour and got great suggestions about where to eat, what to read and where to go. I am in love with Liege and would love to come back and check out more spaces for sure. :)

As we were visiting Liege, we decided to book this free walking tour. Once we arrived, we seemed to be the only participants (probably due to Corona :)). We thought at first that this would be a bit strange, but this was not true at all. Vic guided the tour and she was really clear in explaining all the sightseeing in Liege. She was really friendly and also gave us some suggestions for places to go for a drink or to go for dinner. We recommend this tour if you’re visiting Liege.

In spite of the weather (it was raining), the tour was very useful and interesting since only locals know about some interesting and hidden gems of a city. Additionally, the tour was more like a walk with friends, since we could share opinions and we were not under time pressure: the tour took the time that was needed. And a big surprise at the end, we could enjoy the delicious Peket, undoubtedly a plus. Eager to return soon!

I have been on several Free Walking Tours in the past and I was very impressed with our guide in Liege. He showed us many secret spots I would have never found or known by myself. He was extremely easy-going and I definitely learned a ton about the city & it's history. In the end, he even gave us a shot of the local spirit which was extremely unexpected & such a fun way to close the tour! I would highly recommend joining the walking tour. Definitely, will need to come back some day to explore the recommended pubs & restaurants! Thank you for such a nice time - Oufti!! :)

“A bit boring”
Mathieu looks like a sweet guy but his English is definitely sub-par. His shy personality also didn't help. the tour was very understated, undynamic and kind of boring, we could barely hear him, and when we did, he was talking slowly, with great pauses, and the information came across as chopped.
