Immerse yourself in an incredible natural landscape that hides a recent past. Listen to the stories and enjoy the adventure and excitement of the Mondego Walkways. Start your journey at the Caldeirão Dam Car Park. Climb to the Mocho Real Viewpoint to enjoy the view... The adventure begins! A great challenge awaits! About five hundred wooden steps descend through the Mondego Valley, with the stunning Caldeirão Waterfall revealing its rare beauty. After crossing the ancient Roman Bridge of Mizarela and observing the natural sculptures, continue past old factories and learn about Papa's Blanket. Get to know the Pateiro Hydroelectric Power Plant, the oldest in Guarda, and hear the stories of the exploitation of the "black gold." Cross suspension bridges and discover the windmills at Ribeira dos Moinhos. Finish at the "Videmonte" park and cool off in the waters of the Mondego. Bring a bathing suit and towel. Total distance: 12 Km, accumulated slope: 600 m; Moderate Difficulty, level 2/3 of 5 - MIDE.
