This is a self-guided exploration game crafted by a passionate local storyteller and played through the shadowed canals of Genoa. You will explore 13 different locations while following the story of a codebreaker with a hidden past searching for a forbidden manuscript tied to a vanished dynasty. At each location, you'll solve a real-world puzzle by searching for clues on monuments, graffiti, and facades. The route winds through Centro Storico, blending facts about noble families with tales of vanished treasures. Starting from the ancient harbor district, the stops are spaced an average of around 250m apart, with each location taking around 10 min to complete. The route also passes through Monumento ai caduti di San Vincenzo Alto, Palazzo Doria-Tursi and Torre di Palazzo Nicolosio Lomellino. At each location, you'll solve a challenge and receive instructions for the next chapter. DISCLAIMER: You will explore by yourself using the Questo app on your phone. No physical guide or stranger groups will be involved. The full route covers approximately 3.4 km (2.1 mi) and takes around 2:15h to complete. You can play it any day, at any time.
