You have an exciting day: First visiting a Buddhist temple, surrounded by attractive gardens around Mathara and then enjoy landscape and wildlife at Udawalawe National park.
The Mathara island temple is seated within fabulous gardens on a rock near the coast and on the way we cross an elegant cable-stayed footbridge. Later that day you see rare birds, also elephants, Asian buffaloes and - with a little luck - leopards at Udawalawe national park.
