Day Trip to a wonderful Island Temple and Wildlife

You have an exciting day: First visiting a Buddhist temple, surrounded by attractive gardens around Mathara and then enjoy landscape and wildlife at Udawalawe National park.

Things to do Day Trip to a wonderful Island Temple and Wildlife

The Mathara island temple is seated within fabulous gardens on a rock near the coast and on the way we cross an elegant cable-stayed footbridge. Later that day you see rare birds, also elephants, Asian buffaloes and - with a little luck - leopards at Udawalawe national park. Itinerary: • I join with you at your hotel in Galle, Weligama or Mirissa in the morning. • Visit Mathara island temple at its unique location at a rock near the coast. • 2:00PM: On a private guided safari at Udawalawe national park you can see rare birds, also elephants, Asian buffaloes and - with a little luck - leopards. • I take you safely back to your hotel in the evening.
