According to Timeout, Yungay is currently having a renaissance due to its “accessible, cutting-edge culture and nightlife; brilliant and affordable food and drink” at some incredible holes in the wall. On this tour, we're visiting the most remarkable places in this area (because it's huge, we're doing only 1/4 of its size: The Quinta Normal Park The Human Rights Museum Museum of Education (Gabriela Mistral's former school) “Cités” Sound museum. The current president's house (believe it or not). Casona conpañía The French barber shop and its restaurant. Stop at the Selvaggio bakery before “one time.” “Casa Gárgola” Plaza Yungay Casa Chilota Álamos palace Metro Cumming (final stop)

“Santiago off the beaten path”
Cool tour with a super guide.Visited places we would have not found on our own. Diego even took us to places with Polish accents which was super nice. High;y recommended.

“Interesting unique area, amazing guide”
This is my second tour with Diego! He is a great guide, very good with people, very accommodating and funny. The tour took a place in not-so-popular area but worth visiting if you have extra time! As always, Diego tells interesting stories with a lot of context. I 100% recommend him as a tour guide????

“Hidden Gems ”
Diego calls this a hidden gem tour and he didn’t disappoint. Experiences and locations not found in the guide books, and plenty of opportunities for great photos. We also took Diego’s tour of central Santiago and he is an excellent guide.

Diego was awesome and knowledgeable, the tour is super nice and really well done, you visit a lot of inside places and corners that other way it will be difficult to discover. Really recommend this tour to discover Yungay with Diego, worth it

Diego is a super guide to go around with.
He knows so much about the district and its inhabitants aswell as the artists.
The is much street art work to be seen in the streets and courtyards.
Useful tips on cafés and restaurants. Some of the places are like a museum.
Well worth checking out.

The Tour with Diego was a great experience. He is creating a great atmosphere while we were walking through yungay and exploring all the hidden gems. He has many nice anecdotes for all the murals and art we came along the way.

Diego was a great guide. He’s very familiar with this area and was able to add some personal notes to his tour. He patiently answered all questions and didn’t rush us along! The museum experience was a bit baffling but I’m not into that sort of thing.

Diego was a delightful person to spend a few hours with—super knowledgeable, kind, with many good personal experiences to share.He had an intimate knowledge of the area and knew someone on every block. And what a cool place! Diego took us to locales we never could have seen on our own. So interesting! Thanks to Diego, I think this was my best experience in Santiago. Go a few hours early and see the Museo Derecho Humano y Memoria. It will inform much of your experience in Chile. And do this tour early in your trip so you have time to go back again to Yungay and eat and explore on your own.
