We did. the tour on February 20th 2025 with tourgide Thomas and we were not satisfied with it:
- In the tour plan it was announced, that oarticipants would receive a Google Maps with all relevant city sites on it, but nothing in this regard was provided…
- Alfhough the guide was asked to speak more slowly, so that also non-native speakers (English) could unterstand hin, he did not do so…
- We gave only a small tip, as we were not satisfied, but the guide followed us and forced us to give more money, although that upfront it was said, that every tour guest could freely pay as much as he or she wants to..
This is not of a pirit as Free tours should be held!!!

Rudest and weirdest tour guide I’ve ever had. Accused me of being on drugs after 5 minutes, when actually I’m just on the autistic spectrum and was engaging with him like every other tour guide I’ve ever had likes. He told me to shut up and leave due to my autism, I embarrassingly had to explain my condition in fromt of everyone (but all i was doing was asking questions and engaging). So so weird and rude. Still gave him 20,0000 out of obligation but voluntarily left halfway through after he made it clear I wasn’t wanted and that no engagement or questions were allowed/accepted. He didn’t even tell us his name. 3pm September 17th.

Really great tour to get to know Santiago a little better. Tomás gave us a lot of information, and his passionate explanation of the history regarding Pinochet and events in front of the La Moneda palace was pretty immersive.
At the end of the tour, he also gave us a lot of tips for local food, drinks, and restaurant recommendations.
The only downside was that we did not have cash for the tour, and contactless tipping through the app was not possible as we expected. We went with the guide to an ATM, which unfortunately would not dispense cash. It was an uncomfortable situation for us, and we could see that the guide was a little upset. We settled things a few days later when we returned to Santiago after our trip to Easter Island and gave the money to other guides when another tour was starting. So I hope that everything is okay, and we can really recommend this tour.
And to others, please don't forget cash to avoid awkward situations.

“bad experience with the guide ”
before the tour started I told Carlos that I couldn't redraw money from ATM because they were not international. he told us that it was not a problem because in Santiago there was a bank who accepted international cards. I tried it but with my Mastercard and debet card I couldn't Withdraw money. my cards are working because I can pay with credi the two cards. I even asked in a restaurant where I bought a coke to pay more and receive money but they didn't do that. I told carlos that my family lives in Santiago and that they can give me money and I would bring him his money the day after but he told us that we must leave the group. I booked a lot of tours but this experience I never had before

I took a tour today and it was so good! If you speak English, you will luck out with Carlos as your guide. Carlos is so engaging, entertaining, knowledgeable, and fun. We spent almost 3 hours in historic Santiago centre and it flew by. Carlos told us the intricate history of Santiago and Chile in such interesting ways - everyone was captivated. I love history. Especially when told by someone as passionate as Carlos.

“Mejorable el trato”
Trato tremendamente malo y altivo por parte de Carlos al saber que no traía efectivo, y no comprender que acababa de llegar a Santiago y tener multitud de cajeros y descansos en el camino para obtenerlo. Marco, el guía que nos tocó, muy simpático y preparado.
Una lástima que Carlos tenga una actitud tan mala y desconfiada de cara a los clientes
