Zehndertour Chile, is a small community of dreamers who want to show, express and spread Santiago from a historical, anthropological, artistic and critical point of view, narrated mainly by our guide Gustavo, who is a theologian by profession. Come with us to a cozy tour through the historic center of the capital of the most developed country in Latin America. Itinerary: - Plaza de Armas - Montt-Varas Square - La Moneda Palace - Paris London neighborhood - Santa Lucía Hill (Neptuno Terrace) - Lastarria Neighborhood Coming soon, other routes which are expected to get a complete vision of our city and idiosyncrasy without fear of what they will say.

“Informative tour in central Santiago”
This tour focuses on history and politics. Hector has an in depth knowledge of the political system in Chile. The explanations are given walking by the most important historical and administrative buildings in the city center. In just two hours we were given a great summary on how Chile and in particular Santiago have developed through the years into what they are today.
If you like, Hector can also give you information about typical chilean food and recommend restaurants.

“1000hr Santiago Plaza de Armas English language tour”
Pedro, our guide, was a good guy who was very informative. He was also very aware that on this hot, sunny, summer day just how valuable shade was; he made sure to park us in the shade during his talks about what we were seeing. He kept things interesting throughout the tour. Very helpful all the way around. At tours end when asked, he made recommendations as to where to eat, what else to see and best/safest routes for getting to other places of interest.

“Great and very informative tour!”
We really enjoyed the tour with Hector today. He showed us so many different beautiful places and buildings and told us a lot about Santiago's history. He also gave us lots of super interesting insights about current Chilean politics, and also great recommendations for restaurants, museums etc. Highly recommend him as a tour guide!

“History Made Interesting”
Really enjoyed my walking tour with Hector, whose knowledge of Santiago's history and current vibe is truly broad. I felt bad I was the only one on the tour, but it allowed for a bit of customizing - like skip the Metropolitan Cathedral interior (which I was going to do on my own anyway) and visit the San Francisco Church when we were there. Also, he recommended I visit the National Congress Palace temporary exhibit as a chance to see inside this beautiful building, normally closed. My only complaint - the meeting point needs to be more specific, as there are so many tours meeting at the same place & time.

Una de los mejores 'free tours' que he hecho. El guía sabía mucho y era muy didáctico a la hora de las explicaciones, que se hacían interesantes y muy amenas. El único 'pero' es que es demasiado largo: una visita guiada andando no debería pasar nunca de las dos horas. Con el mismo contenido se podrían hacer dos tours en dos horarios diferentes.

“Great walking tour with Bere”
Had a fun and informative walking tour of the historical area with Bere. She has a great command of the English language and gave an outstanding tour with a lot of historical facts and local lore. She has a lovely personality and was a delight to spend time with. It ended up being a private tour for me because Bere was nice enough to show up and conduct the tour even though I was the only who had signed up. Usually, guides will cancel at the last minute rather do a tour for one person. Thank you Bere for a great tour and all the food and beverage recommendations. Just finished a great meal at a place you recommended! Go with Bere, you’ll have a wonderful time!

"Realicé el recorrido 'Descubre Santiago' y fue una experiencia increíble. Nuestro guía, Gustavo, fue muy amable y conocedor de la historia y la cultura de la ciudad. Nos llevó a lugares emblemáticos como la Plaza de Armas y la Casa de la Moneda y nos contó historias fascinantes sobre la ciudad.
