Things to do Expedition to the Uku Pacha in Quito

A world associated with mother earth and the bones of the ancestors. Groundwater was also a product of Uku Pacha, with springs being considered by our ancestors to sustain life as a link from the human realm to the inner world.

The tour starts at 09:00 am at the meeting point (Arco de la Reina, García Moreno, and Rocafuerte.), where your guide will be waiting to welcome you and give you instructions to start our tour.

We will start our tour with a walk to the San Diego Cemetery, once there we will visit the said cemetery and we will be able to observe the tombs where famous characters from the history of Quito rest eternally.

Then we will visit the Hospicio San Lázaro on the outside and we will go to the Museum of the City, where we will learn about its history and how it went from being one of the oldest hospitals in South America to one of the most important museums in Quito.

We will continue our tour to the San Ignacio Restaurant, where we will have our lunch, once it is finished, we will advance to the Alberto Mena and Caamaño Museum, where we will talk about the massacre that occurred after the First Cry of Independence, for which we will visit the facilities of this museum.

After this visit, we will advance to the Convent of San Francisco where several illustrious Quiteños and the life of the convent will be explained to us about life and death. Later we will advance to the Church of the Society of Jesus where we will learn more about the life and death of the first Ecuadorian saint Mariana de Jesus.

To finish and have a great closure, we will visit Yumbos Chocolate, where we can taste one of the best chocolates in the country.
