Essential Quito Free Tour

The tour begins in the Plaza Grande (next to the monument in honor of the First Cry of Independence), where our guide will be waiting to welcome you and give you some instructions to make this tour unique. In the heart of Quito , we will talk about the important buildings that surround it and part of the history that runs through the streets of the Historic Center.

Then we will visit the Archbishop's Palace where we will taste delicious sweets from Quito and delicious paila ice cream, to then find the ideal spot to talk about the Basilica of the National Vow and El Panecillo , then we will move on to visit the beautiful Church of La Merced, where we will learn more about the famous Quito School and part of the indigenous festivities.

After this stop full of history we will visit the magnificent Church of San Francisco where we will meet the famous Virgin of Quito and the reason why Quito is considered the Cradle of Beer.

We will advance to see the Arco de la Reina , the buildings that surround it, and then visit the famous Barrio de la Ronda , where we can try paila ice cream with unique flavors and learn more about coffee in Ecuador .

We will close the tour with a flourish with a delicious tasting of the best chocolate in the country , in this chocolate shop we will be able to learn about the process of making chocolate.
