“guide didn't turn up, no apology, no refund thus far, misleading”
The guide didn't turn up. we had a 3 hour round trip to take this tour. There was no cancellation notice. So far I haven't had a refund. There has been no explanation nor apology from the guide or the company. When he didn't show up at the appointed time I called at the tourist information office and the lady kindly called the guide but he didn't answer. I asked her to give him my number. 3 days later still heard nothing. This company is also very misleading in its marketing as "free tours" the concept of which is you pay at the end based on the quality of the tour. We have taken this type of tour all over the world. This is the first and only time I have paid in advance, never again, buyer beware!

“A highlight of our holiday ”
The two hour tour was a definite highlight of our holiday to Portugal. Elvas is such an interesting village, but, without the expert guidance of such a personable and knowledgeable companion, it would have been so easy to stroll around and miss both the architectural evidence of its fascinating history and some of its hidden 'back street' treasures. A really excellent way to ensure the trip out to this Portuguese border town is a journey well-made. Thank you to Miguel (I hope I have spelt your name correctly!)
