“Sarah smd Pacino were just incredible ”
I joined the Free Walking Tour of Edinburgh – Dog Lovers Assemble on 10 November 2025, and it was absolutely delightful thanks to our fantastic guide, Sarah.
From the moment we met by the meeting point, Sarah’s warm, welcoming style set the tone for what turned out to be a memorable stroll through Edinburgh’s Old Town—with a friendly canine companion in tow, which added something special.
What i felt she brought to the tour:
• Personal warmth & engagement: Sarah immediately made everyone feel included, asked questions, invited us to share our own dog-stories (if we had them), and really showed genuine enthusiasm for both Edinburgh and dog-lovers. She asked where everyond was from and really took timd to know her guests.
• Knowledge & storytelling: She delivered a mix of Edinburgh’s history, charming anecdotes, and dog-friendly highlights in an easy-to-follow, entertaining way. She clearly knows the city and loves the topic.
• Canine charm: The presence of the tour’s dog (Pacino, I believe) was a lovely touch – it made the whole experience feel more relaxed, fun and tail-wag friendly. He slept in her little pouch ????
• Value & atmosphere: The pace of the walk was perfect—not rushed. Sarah gave us time at key spots, answered questions (about local food, dog-friendly cafés, best walks in Edinburgh…), and the group dynamic felt comfortable and upbeat. For a pay-what-you-think tour this has to be one of the best value ways to see Edinburgh.
In short: If you’re in Edinburgh and love dogs (or just appreciate a warm, relaxed walking tour), do this tour and ask for Sarah as your guide. Her energy, knowledge and friendly style made the whole experience something I’ll remember.

Amazing guide,for people who don't want boring history tours. Nothing personal about them,everyone has it's own ways. We were with children(9,12)who understands English good,they liked it as well, wasn't boring for them. Too bad it was raining and the weather was cold.

Wir hatten bei Bobby's Free Walking Tour mit Guide Calum und den Hunden Rowie und Isla eine super gute Zeit! Alle drei waren sehr sympathisch :) Der Guide ist sehr gut zu verstehen, auch wenn man kein Englisch-Muttersprachler ist! Laut und deutlich, kein krasser Dialekt. Wir haben eine super Runde gemacht und die wichtigsten Punkte der Altstadt mitgenommen. Es gab wichtige und auch lustige Erklärungen und das Lauf-Tempo war angenehm. Außerdem gab es eine tolle Gesangseinlage von Calum ???? Absolute Empfehlung!! ????????

We had an incredible city walk with Calum and dog Rowie. Calum captivated everyone with his stories about the city. He is knowledgeable, funny and also gave us tips about his favourite places in Edinburgh.
He also recommended a show during Fringe-Festival (which he co-wrote and acted in) that was absolutely fantastic.
Calum is a great guide and a very entertaining actor.

Highly recommend taking this tour, very informative and friendly. Sarah was our tour guide- she narrated so many stories about the history and traditions of the city. She recommended different restaurants and pubs plus other nice places to visit. Very informative and we are very happy we did it. Organisation and time management were also as expected. The dog was a sweetheart.

“Great storytelling and fun!”
It was our first free tour and I confidently say that Callum and Rowie sat the bar very high! We appreciated everything, from the great storytelling, the details, the hidden spots, the fun facts, songs and all the inside tips. 3 hours packed with info, but it was never dull or boring, the time flew! Callum was really generous sharing with each one of us specific content, insider tips, food and whisky recommendations. Rowie was the star of the day of course, and also providing some funny moments. We highly recommended the tour and would have love to take more with them.

“If you only do 1 walking tour, do this one”
Fabulous walking tour through Edinburgh! Sarah and Pacino are brilliant tour guides. Sarah shared her wealth of local knowledge and history and provided many tips I found useful when exploring Edinburgh on my own, after the tour. Pacino is beautifully behaved and well trained, and provides lots of warm doggy interactions throughout the tour. This tour was one of my highlights and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Edinburgh.

“Amazing and wholesome tour”
Calum's tour with his sweet dog Rowie was an amazing experience, the best I've had in the city! The guide is well-prepared, kind and has an engaging way of telling stories, even if it's only for two hours he makes you feel the true essence of the city! I would recommend it to anyone as an experience.

“A special way to see Edinburgh ”
What a lovely morning I had on this tour with Callum and his gorgeous little dog Rowlie. Callum showed us the hidden gems around the old town and was very informative. A relaxing tour, I even got some cuddles with his famous dog ‘Rowlie’
A definite tour when visiting Edinburgh. Thanks also to Callum for singing a lovely traditional burns song for us.
