A city is just a collection of bricks without the colour and character of the people and stories which make it special, and there's no shortage of them in Cork! In the course of my tour, I aim to bring the city to life and give you a sense of Cork's past, its present, and its future.
I will show you the sites of Cork, including important buildings like St. Finbarr's Cathedral, St Annes Church with its lying clock faces, the City Hall and Courthouse, the English Market and the Firkin Crane, but more importantly I will share with you the stories of our most important people, from St. Finbarr of the 7th century to Cillian Murphy from Peaky Blinders.
Where's the secret entrance to Cork City's old dungeon? Why do we say Cork is the REAL capital of Ireland? How did so many communities like the French Huguenots and Lithuanian Jews come to call Cork home through the ages? How did Cork play an outsized role in Irish independence? Why is our main street called Yellow Horse Street in Irish? Join the tour and allow me to share the answers to these questions with you!

“Recommended!!”
The tour was interesting as well as entertaining. Evan was a very fun guy and his explanations well informed and complete but easy to follow and understand (even if some of us aren't native english speakers). Super recommended.

“Interesting, engaging, friendly tour: A must do in Cork! ”
We really enjoyed this tour of Cork City. Evan, our tour guide, was very kind, knowledgeable, and engaging. As we walked through the city, he set a good pace, made great conversation with the group, and shared fascinating facts about the history and people of Cork. Highly recommend anyone visiting Cork to join Evan’s tour.
