Chicago Architecture Free Tour

Explore Chicago, the birthplace of modern architecture, on a walking tour that takes in some of the world's most influential buildings and urban spaces. Discover historic skyscrapers, grand plazas and the river's key role in the city's architectural development. We begin the tour at Federal Plaza, an icon of modernism, next to the Harold Washington Library, one of the best examples of postmodern architecture in the city. We walk along LaSalle Street, surrounded by classic financial architecture, until we reach the imposing Willis Tower, a symbol of structural innovation and high-rise architecture. The tour continues along the Chicago Riverwalk, essential to understanding Chicago's urban evolution, and ends at Heald Square, where architecture, sculpture and history come together.
