This is a self-guided exploration game crafted by a passionate local storyteller and played outdoors, on the streets of Eastside Chicago. You will explore 14 iconic locations while playing as the main character in a heist thriller and try to escape with Edward Hopper's Nighthawks art piece. At each location, you'll be solving a real-world puzzle by searching for clues on various elements such as monuments, graffiti, and facades. The game is mainly focused around the Chicago Loop area and takes you through Millennium Park, past Cloud Gate, Crown Fountain, Pritzker Pavilion, and Buckingham Fountain, as you try to blend in as an ordinary tourist while making a very illegal hand-off.
Starting from the Art Institute of Chicago, the stops are spaced an average of around 250m apart, with each location taking around 7 min to complete. Once a chapter is completed, the app unlocks a new chapter and guides you to the next location.
DISCLAIMER: You will explore by yourself using the Questo app on your phone. No physical guide and no strangers will be involved. The full route covers approximately 3.4 km and takes around 1.5h to complete. You can play it any day, at any time.
