Things to do Acropolis + Ancient Athens Tour

Our Acropolis + Ancient Athens Tour will start at 8:15am visiting the Acropolis and it will start from the south slope, avoiding the main entrance that is always more crowded. Our licensed tour guide will explain the most interesting legends of the archaeological site while we are visiting all the temples and monuments.

See the temple of the Parthenon and the Propylaea, the monumental gate to the Acropolis. Visit the Theater of Dionysus, which had a capacity of 17,000 spectators and was used to host festivals honoring the birth of the Greek god. Marvel at the Erechtheum, named after the demigod Erechtheus, and the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, a huge building for musical performances.

Take a look at the stone carvings of the Caryatids and the Temple of Athena Nike, the smallest temple. After the guided tour of the Acropolis, you will have free time to admire all of them at your leisure and take all the photos you want before starting the second part of our visit.

Starting at 11:00am we will visit all the relevant temples and/or monuments of Ancient Greece; We will talk about history, mythology, a bit of philosophy and another bit of its scientific advances, as well as sharing endless curiosities about its ancient culture and society.

This tour will be carried out too with a licensed Spanish-speaking guide and includes guided visits to the interior of the Roman Agora and Library of Hadrian and the exterior of the Ancient Agora, Hadrian's Arch and Temple of Zeus.
