I highly recommend this Zadar walking tour, especially if you have the fantastic guide, Iva. From start to finish, the experience was brilliant, perfectly balanced between fascinating history and genuinely engaging conversation.
Iva was exceptionally positive and informative. She clearly has a deep love for Zadar and its history, providing excellent context for every stop on the itinerary, including Kalelarga, The Five Wells Square, the Cathedral of St. Anastasia, and Crkva sv. Donata. The 1.5-hour tour around the Old Town flew by.
What truly set Iva apart was her personalized approach. She took the time to speak to everyone individually, asking where we were from and what our plans were for our visit. This simple, thoughtful touch made the whole group feel welcome and connected. She was also great at encouraging and answering any questions we had.

I recently had the pleasure of joining the Free Spirit Walking Tour in Zadar, and it was truly a highlight of my trip—thanks to our amazing guide, Eva! From the very beginning, she made everyone feel welcomed and comfortable, creating a warm and engaging atmosphere for the whole group.
Eva shared fascinating insights about the history, culture, and hidden gems of Zadar that I never would’ve discovered on my own. Her passion for the city was infectious, and it made the entire experience feel both informative and personal.
I had the small responsibility of collecting the tickets for our group, and as a special souvenir, I kept my ticket and asked Eva to sign and date it at the end of the tour. That signed ticket is now one of my most cherished mementos—especially meaningful since it was my very first visit to Zadar.

“Look no further, book now!!! ”
We had the morning tour and missed it because we got pulled by the police for jumping a red light, cost us a fine of £220 and I’m so glad, because it meant we ended up having to do the 5:00pm tour with Tonka, who was nothing short of fantastic!!!! She is informative, funny, enthusiastic and mega helpful. Our shitty start to the day, was soon forgotten when we were guided through the history and sights beautiful Zadar has to offer with Tonka, thank you.

Her tour was history-rich and tied to the geo ruins, but not overdone. She also showed us the landmarks of Zadar old town.

Un muy bien tour por parte de Iva. Un recorrido por las partes más importantes con algún rincón secreto en la ruta. Interesante ruts por el Centro histórico de Zadar. Las explicaciones muy bien complementadas con mapas, fotos y recreaciones, hacen que sea fácil seguir la historia y pasado de Croacia y en especial de Zadar. Learnt so much about the city of Zadar with Andrea who is super nice and very knowledgeable about the city. He is super friendly and loves sharing his experiences of living in Zadar. Strongly recommend.

Great way to get a background on the city and to get tips on where to go and what to do for the remainder of your time there. The tour guide was excellent, a local, who really knew her stuff!! Definitely recommend starting your time in Zadar with this tour.
