Mount Batur is considered as one of the holy places for Hindus. We will first make a stop in Tegalalang to see the rice terraces, visible from small viewpoints along the road.
Then we will continue to Pura Tirta Empul, one of the most famous and visited temples in Bali. It was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2012. In the inner part of the temple spring water flows from underground. Every day the locals arrive to pray, followed by ritual baths in the fountains of the pools.
We will continue the trip in the Panglipura village, a traditional village where you can enjoy the traditions. Nearby is the Bamboo forest.
We will continue in Kintamani, where we can contemplate an impressive view of the volcano and Lake Batur. The weather is good to have lunch with the panoramic view of the volcano.
