After this flavorful start, we stroll through the charming, streets of Sidi Bou Said, soaking in its vibrant colors and rich history. As we reach the hill, we explore some local spots before taking a well-deserved break to enjoy Bambalouni, Tunisia’s famous fried doughnut, while admiring breathtaking views of the Mediterranean. Then, we make our way down to the old train station, where a short five-minute ride will take us to La Marsa. As we travel, we sip refreshing Tunisian lemonade with some mint, enjoying the scenic journey and the cool sea breeze Upon arrival, we head to La Marsa’s corniche the lively seaside promenade where we taste 'Kaftaji,' a traditional Tunisian dish of fried vegetables mixed with eggs and often topped with tuna or harissa, creating a delicious, hearty meal. Alongside, we try 'Brik,' a crispy pastry filled with egg, tuna, and fried until golden and crunchy.
