“Everything was great!”
We had a great tour with Javier, who speaks excellent English and is a very nice and open guy! The tour included loads of historical facts, some ghost stories and legends as well as an introduction to some Colombian culture. We especially appreciated that Javier gave us many recommendations for restaurants, ice cream and street vendors but always made sure we didn't feel pressured to make any purchases. When we did buy something, it was all delicious!
100% recommend.

Klasse Tour! Javier hat uns kurzweilig mit viel Hintergrundwissen seine Stadt sehr schön erklärt. Erklärungen zu Streetfood, dem tollen Obst und den daraus hergestellten leckeren Säften sind die geschmackliche Ergänzung.

“One of the BEST walking tours in Colombia”
I've spent 9 weeks in Colombia and done tons of walking tours so far and Javier's has been the best one. He has a degree in history so he knows lots of fascinating stories about Santa Marta that you wont get on other tours - ghost stories and curses. Plus you get free food samples! DO THIS TOUR! You will have a better appreciation of Santa Marta and you'll get tons of good tipd on where to eat and what to do.

Javier was a great Guide. The tour was very interesting, something for everyone.He showed us where we can eat columbian breakfast, drink juices and a painter, who painted a picture with his fingers in five minutes. Now we know a lot about Simon Bolivar and Gabriel Garcia Marques.

Javier really welcomed us to Santa Marta as if he was welcoming us to his home . There is not so much to see compared to other cities but he gave us an excellent insight into the history as well as life for locals . The tour ended with a wonderful fruit tasting session and we were so pleased we had joined Javier for 2 very interesting hours

We had been in Santa Marta for several days and had posed some questions about the area to some locals, they really didn't seem to know a lot about the history or culture of the area. Javier was able to answer all of questions and provided us with much more information. I only wish we would have taken the tour on the first day in town.
