“City tour of Rabat with Souf”
We had a wonderful city tour of Rabat with our guide Souf!
He told us so many interesting stories and anecdotes about the history of the city.
Souf was super friendly, kind, and always available to answer our questions.
He even taught us a few words in Arabic and gave us great tips for the other cities we’ll be visiting.
Highly recommend him if you want to really experience Rabat!

Me and my friend were the only ones doing the tour, but Souf made it comfortable from start to finish. He had many great facts about the city of Rabat and we learned a lot from him. It was a nice introduction to the city and we are happy we did the tour. You should definitely consider doing this if you are visiting Rabat.

Super cool trip, all good, but:
Before the tour, the guide send us a message with general info and there he mentioned how much people pay usually four the tour, being 20-40€ per person. Now that’s bullsh*t.
Obviously we didn’t pay that, because that’s not a real price indicator.
Other than that it was all cool, but compared to other free tour guides this had way less real and concise information.

Badr was exceptional in his knowledge of Moroccan history, cultural influences past and present and current trends. His tour was well organized, interesting as well as efficient. He ensured the walking tour included many highlights -the old market, the Bouregreg marina, the mosque, mussoleum, Andalusian gardens and Kasbah as well as pointing out the new skyscraper and grande theatre ( I’m sure I missed something). Soufiane, our guide, gave us an incredibly authentic and insightful look into Moroccan culture and the city of Rabat. He was consistently kind, helpful, and attentive. Even now, as we continue our journey through Morocco, he’s always there for us, whenever we have a question, he offered us to text him and he replies quickly with useful advice.
At the end of the tour, I asked him for a good barber recommendation. Without hesitation, he took me to his favorite spot and personally explained to the barber how to cut my hair and beard. A true insider experience!

The tour started at 9am when it was cooler, which was the deciding factor for me at first. I was lucky, Soufiane probably not so lucky, that I was the only one who booked the tour on Thursdays. This gave me the opportunity to have intensive and pleasant conversations, not only about the extensive content of the tour, but also about the country and people of Morocco and to get a small flavour of life in Rabat. “Pleasant tour”
It was a decent experience. Soufiane showed me a lot of interesting places in Rabat and even has showed his own house inside the medina. We both were in great mood for conversation, so 3 hours felt like 20 minutes.
Only thing that I'd suggest to enhance is to tell more historical facts or some kind of city tales. Tourists do love them!
