We are Discover Walks. We aim to make each tour an intimate, authentic Parisian experience. Our average group size is 10 - 15 guests, and we try to keep a max of 22 guests/guide. Also, our tours are all designed and run by local Parisians, in English. No expat to run your tour! Our tours are for people who want the tourist must-sees and also the Paris of the Parisians. “Paris Starts Here. Small-group tour for first-timers. Notre Dame to Louvre” takes you from Notre Dame and Cité Island to Sainte Chapelle, Conciergerie/Marie-Antoinette, Louvre (old and new), le Carrousel, and Tuileries Gardens. We start at Notre Dame and even visit a special basement. We also bring you to Point Zero in Paris. The spot where they tried to kill Napoleon. The Love Lock Bridge. Where the Grand Master of the Knights Templar was executed. And the magic place where, at the same time, you see the Eiffel Tower, the Tuileries Garden, the Champs-Élysées, and both the Arc de Triomphe and the Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel. And much more. This tour is for people who want the best of Paris in two hours.

“Free Tour for First Timers”
It was a great experience overall. Our tour leader was very friendly and very informative. However, the group was quite large (over 20 people), which made it a bit challenging at times. Starting the tour a bit later would have been better, as 2:30 was quite sunny and hot for such a long walk. Still, I would definitely recommend it ❤️

“A wonderful, informative stroll…”
This was a great tour! Alexander was so nice, gave us plenty of information about the city and its history, and the main sights. Very entertaining and the pace wasn’t rushed - even though it’s two hours, it’s an easy, comfortable walk.
This is a great tour for first time visitors and also, for those who want a quick refresher about the city, like us ;) Enough to get you situated and then, explore on your own.

“First Time Paris Walking Tour”
Floriane was magnifique. We srarted from the historical roman island walking by Notre Dame and the river Seine ending up at the Louvre. Floriane regaled us with stories of architecture and romantic Quasimodo lore. She was right. Even after having lived in Paris for over 40 years, you will still see something magical from another angle. My kids 14 and 12 joined this one and were engaged from start to finish. Merci, Flo!

Indeed Paris starts here! For first timers, a must do walking tour.
We did the Walking Tour on Sunday; 10 th Nov @2:30pm. We had some problems booking the tour initially but was fortunate that Gerrit helped us to overcome issues & assisted us to book the tour.
The tour is highly recommended for first timers; we got all the places that we wanted to visit with Gerrit. Very informative & helpful guide; thanks to Gerrit!

“Guide didn't show up”
We arrived at the location in the link bit.ly/historicparis-start at 9:40 for a 10:00 start. No guide showed up. Tried the second location for people running late thinking we might have got the location wrong (bit.ly/historicparis-second-stop) and still nobody there. Tried messaging on WhatsApp but no reply. We've used FreeTour before (Poznan, Madrid) and never had an issue so not sure what went wrong this time.

“Wonderful way to see the historic core of Paris”
There were a lot of first time visitors on our tour which was great, because they asked a lot of the 'dumb' questions I was always wondering about. The guide handled the simplest to toughest questions in an engaging way. The Louvre was a great place to end the tour and the guide had several nearby restaurant recommendations.

Just did the "Historic Paris" tour and it was amazing! From Notre Dame to the Louvre, every stop was fascinating. Highlights? Sainte Chapelle's glass, the eerie Conciergerie, and a spot where you can see the Eiffel Tower and more all at once. Plus, we went underground to a secret spot – so cool! Overall, a must-do for history lovers!

“A wonderful time ”
I just loved my time during this tour. The guide (I can't remember her name) had a really communicative energy and passion for the city. She truly made us travel through the centuries in Paris. The itinerary makes you discover so many important landmarks of Paris (Notre Dame, Louvre, the gardens, the bridges...). She even recommended me places to stroll around afterwards.
